I want to tell you about my cousin John Nolan who is a well-known artist in Dublin, Ireland. His work has been exhibited at many exhibitions. His work is colorful and at times playful and really engages the viewer right off the bat. Don't take my word for it, check out his website.- If you are heading to Dublin in the near future I would like to tell you about a company called HIBERNIAphernalia run by my brother-in-law Eugene Shannon. Eugene was born and reared within walking distance of the center of Dublin. His web-site is www.dublincitycenter.com. It lists affordable accomodations including B and B's and hostels. Also listed are bureau-de-change outlets, theatres, cinemas, and activities within the city limits. The site is particularly valuable to first-time visitors to the city. However, even if you have been to Dublin before you will still find a lot of useful information on the site.
- If your travels ever bring you to the lovely city of Montreal, Quebec, please check out the Old Dublin Pub (Le Vieux Dublin). I played there for nearly fourteen years during my life in Montreal. The place is still going strong since it's founding in July of 1979. They have live entertainment pretty much every night of the week. I continue to play there myself from time to time. I was there again during the latter part of June. They have some of the best pub-food you will find anywhere and an extensive selection of beers.
